USB-Unterstützung
Hallo,

DLL).
Siehe dazu auch mal das http://www.veeforum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=413 an.

Ab Version 7 gibt es dies hier:

Connectivity for USB Based Instruments
Keeping VEE current with the newest Agilent instrumentation and competitive software products has always been a goal for Agilent. To this end, the I/O subsystem has been enhanced to accommodate instruments with a Universal Serial Bus (USB). Another feature of USB support is the ability to use USB aliases. USB aliases replace the long and awkward address string of USB addresses.

What is a USB Interface?
The USB0 interface in the explorer pane is the collection of all USB instruments on your PC. All local USB devices appear under USB0, whether they are connected to a hub or connected directly to your PC.

Important Notes
Only USB instruments that implement the USBTMC protocol will be shown. USB devices such as printers, scanners, and cameras do not implement the USBTMC protocol and will not appear in Connection Expert.

Only one local USB interface can be configured in Connection Expert (however, multiple remote USB interfaces can be configured). The local USB interface that appears in Connection Expert represents the group of all USB ports supported by your PC. This collection of all USB ports is merged into one logical USB interface, regardless of the number of USB cards or USB hubs connected to the PC.

The 82357 USB-GPIB converter is not a USBTMC device and does not appear as a USB interface in Connection Expert's explorer pane. The 82357 appears as a GPIB interface.

About USB Drivers
Typically, your USB instrument(s) will use the USBTMC driver provided by the vendor whose VISA is primary on your system. (See Using Agilent I/O Software with Other Vendors' I/O Software for information about primary and secondary VISA implementations.) If you change your primary VISA ? for example, if you were operating with Agilent VISA primary but then install another vendor's I/O software and that vendor's VISA becomes primary ? the USB instrument(s) may still be using the original USBTMC driver (in this example, Agilent's).

If you wish to change the USBTMC driver being used, go to Windows Device Manager, open the USB Test and Measurement Device with which you are concerned, and select Update Driver... to have Windows associate the appropriate driver with the device.

Note: Vista USBTMC Driver incompatibility: If NI-VISA is installed and a USBTMC device is plugged in, Agilent Connection Expert receives the event and refreshes. It sees the USBTMC device but it is in the failed state and the device cannot be used by Connection Expert or by an Agilent VISA program. It can be used by an NI-VISA program.

If you want to use it with an Connection Expert and/or an Agilent VISA program, you need to use the Windows device manager to update the driver. Choose from a list of drivers and pick the Agilent one that corresponds to the version of the IO Libraries that is installed. If you update the driver to work with Agilent VISA, it will no longer work with NI VISA. Note that on XP, the this is not an issue because the NI USBTMC driver is (for the most part) compatible with the Agilent driver. If you want to use it within Agilent Connection Expert and/or an Agilent VISA program, you need to use the Windows device manager to update the driver. Tell it you want to choose from a list of drivers and pick the Agilent one that corresponds to the version of the IO Libraries that is installed. If you update the driver to work with Agilent VISA, it will no longer work with NI VISA.

Note that on XP, the this is not an issue because the NI USBTMC driver is (for the most part) compatible with the Agilent driver.
